About this event

Start at the 214 Trailhead in Silver Falls State Park.  We will take the Catamount Trail to the Lost Creek Trail to Buck Mountain Trail to Smith Creek Trail to Rabbit Run to the Newt Loop Trail back to 214 Trailhead.  About 9 miles, 1000+ feet elevation gain.  Dress for weather and muddy trail conditions.  Lunch break at half-way point.  Please text leader for sign-up.  Limited to eight hikers.  More details will be sent to signed up people before the hike.

Pace: Moderate

Hiking Distance: 9 miles RT

Elevation Gain: 1000 +/- feet

Driving Distance: 70 miles RT

Hiking Trip Ratings:
EASY: Maximum of 5 miles round trip, elevation gain less than 1000 feet
MEDIUM: 6-10 miles round trip, elevation gain 1000-2000 feet
HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
