Bald Mountain from Lolo Pass

This hike follows a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail in Mt. Hood National Forest and rewards us with stunning views of Mt. Hood while we are enjoying lunch.  Please text the leader, including your name, if you want to join. Details about carpooling will follow.  A Forest Service Pass is required for parking.  Optional dinner in ZigZag.

Pace: Moderate

Hiking Distance: 6.7 miles RT

Elevation Gain: 1500 feet

Driving Distance: 180 miles RT

Hiking Trip Ratings:
EASY: Maximum of 5 miles round trip, elevation gain less than 1000 feet
MEDIUM: 6-10 miles round trip, elevation gain 1000-2000 feet
HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
