Santiam Wagon Trail

The Santiam Wagon Trail is a portion of the old wagon trail that provided a passage from the valley to Central Oregon.  This piece runs along the south Santiam River through old firs and mossy big leaf maples from the old Mountain House staging area to the House Rock campground.  There is some elevation and a possible stream crossing, so reasonable fitness is called for.  Bring a lunch, good boots and possible rain gear.
