We were a small but mighty group hiking up Dog Mountain on a beautiful Thursday. There were few other hikers (just enough to be sociable) and plenty of parking. The wildflowers were fading but still plenty to see. Diana Villanueva, Cathy McClaughry, and prospective member Eli Krayna lead leader Denise Taylor (slowest hiker) up the trail to amazing vistas. The only downside of a weekday is getting home through Portland traffic.
